The René Fernandes Arquitetos Associados firm began its activities in 1982 and over this 32 year period has realized more than 500 projects including residences, shops, restaurants, offices, clinics, hotels, condominiums and commercial areas among many others. It also projects and executes renovations and interior design jobs, scenography, furniture design, sales stands and events.

The partners, René Fernandes e Adriana Rossi, strive to find the best solutions in structural design and in the creation of intelligent, surprising and harmonious ambiances. Their portfolio of work includes residences in such noble neighborhoods of São Paulo as Jardim América, Alto de Pinheiros and Pacaembu; country houses in Ibiúna, São Francisco Xavier, Avaré and Indaiatuba; beach houses in Maresias, Ilha Bela and Guaratuba; restaurants such as Peixaria, A Tal da Pizza, La Tavola Espressa, Zola and Café da Pinacoteca; cultural centers such as the Casa do Saber in  Itaim and the Instituto Anacã; the Zeferino show room; and designer shops such as Paula Ferber, Franzizka Hubener, Francesca Romana, Conceito and the Doural – the latter two on the Alameda Gabriel Monteiro da Silva street. With abundant experience in renovations, René and Adriana have executed modernization projects and works for such well-known clubs as the Sociedade Harmonia de Tênis and the São Fernando Golfe Clube, as well as the Helvetia Polo Country’s new clubhouse. They are responsible for the restoration of a historic farm house in the São Carlos region designed by Ramos de Azevedo, the same architect who projected the Theatro Municipal and the Mercadão.

VERSATILITY, TALENT AND CREATIVITY

René and Adriana have also developed showroom spaces for expositions at the ICCo (Instituto de Cultura Contemporânea); piloted the revitalization of the foyers in the Teatro Sérgio Cardoso; and done special show windows for stores such as Dpot, Lumini, Deca and Safira. Other projects include executing the stage design for fashion designer Walter Rodrigues’ fashion show at the SPFW (São Paulo Fashion Week), producing the ambiance for countless weddings and theme parties and, ten years ago, designing the VIP areas at the Brazilian Formula 1 Grand Prix in Interlagos.
